Welcome
A little about Pre-Calculus 12
Pre- calculus is a very demanding course designed to prepare students for the University Math and generally rigors of a post-secondary education. To be successful a student must:
- Spend class time wisely working on math.
- Do math homework every night, even if the assigned work has been completed.
- Take advantage of the extra help sessions.
- Not miss classes. It is difficult to catch-up after missing a class.
- Be responsible for their own learning.
There will be no re-writes available in this class, as they tend to encourage students to procrastinate and seldom result in an improved mark.
It is essential for students to have a quiet working environment. Students who are disturbing the learning of others will be asked to work in the office until a call home can be made.

Calculators
Dear Parents/ Guadians:
This is to inform you concerning graphing calculator requirements for the senior math courses at Wellington Secondary School.
Please note that is mandatory that all students enrolled in Pre Calculus 12 have a graphing calculator.
We recommend the Casio fx-9750G series. These calculators can range in price from $80 to $150 before taxes.
Students have two options:
1) The student can immediately purchase their own calculator.
or
2) The student can purchase 4 AAA batteries from our Math Department and be eligible to borrow one of our school's graphing calculators for the remainder of the semester. The cost of $10.00 (cash) for the batteries and a $100.00 post dated cheque. If the calculator is returned in good condition at the end of the semester, the cheque will be refunded.
Cheques are to be made out to " Shool District #68".
